Ben Carpenter is a marketer by trade located in Greenville, South Carolina, right in the foothills of the Blue Ridge mountains. Ben currently presides and is Director of Marketing for Camera West Inc., a modern Camera shop specializing in much more than the run-of-the-mill camera gear normally found in a camera store. Ben manages brands for Leica Store San Francisco, Camera West, C.W. Watch Shop, and Billingham USA.
Ben is an avid adventure, bike racer, and photographer. From camping, backpacking, ultra-distance adventure racing, hiking and more, Ben loves to be outside and enjoys sharing his adventures with the work through photography and what you find here on this site and partnering with brands to connect his experiences to new audiences.
Upcoming Adventures:
Ben is preparing for several adventures in 2023, including adventure racing the entire southern Appalachian on the bike in three stages.
Stage One: Trans Virginia 550 - D.C. to Damascus, VA. Via some of the best gravel roads in Virginia
Stage Two: Trans WNC - An Independent Time Trail via Mountain bike from Damascus, VA to the South Carolina border via some of the most technical mountain bike single track on the East Coast.
Stage Three: Trans North Georga - GA/SC border to the Alabama border via the roughest tracks in the North GA mountains.
Throughout the year, Ben plans on more adventures from his home near some of the best riding in the South East. These will include single-day epics, multiday backpacking trips, and even smaller races and events.
In addition, Ben will also embark on many camping trips with his wife, daughter, and two dogs.
